Nancy Walker, Principal

Mrs. Walker holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Western Governor’s University, certified in K-6 Elementary Education, and is enrolled in The William Cecil Golden School Leadership Development Program through the Florida Department of Education. She has worked with Pinellas Preparatory Academy since 2006, most recently as a 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Prior to coming to Pinellas Preparatory Academy, she had extensive experience in both educational and humanitarian fields.

Kindergarten Teachers

Melissa Koberna
 
Mrs. Koberna is a graduate of The University of South Florida, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is originally from Florida and previously taught in both a charter school and public school in Pinellas County.
Suzanne Goin
 
Ms. Goin is a graduate of Wayne State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Social Studies. She is from Michigan and previously taught in a charter school setting.
Allyson Williams
 
Mrs. Williams is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Reading Specialist from The University of South FL. She is originally from Connecticut and previously taught in a private school setting in Pinellas County.
Sonia Antunes
 
Ms. Antunes is a graduate of Gwynedd-Mercy College, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Special Education from Saint Leo College. She is originally from Pennsylvania and previously taught in a private school setting in Pinellas County.

First Grade Teachers

Mary McGuire
 
Mrs. McGuire is a graduate of Aquinas College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on Reading and Language Arts. She is originally from Illinois and previously taught in a private school and a charter school in Pinellas County.
Sharon Eckman
 
Mrs. Eckman is a graduate of Heidelberg College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on Social Science and Psychology. She is originally from New York and previously taught in a private school in Pinellas County.
Valerie Lauser
 
Mrs. Lauser is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and a Elementary Education certificate from St. Petersburg College of Education EPI program. She is originally from New York and previously taught at a charter school in Pinellas County.
Lindsey Frohlich
 
Mrs. Frohlich is a graduate of Flagler College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on Special Education and Reading. She is originally from Florida and previously taught at a private school setting in Pinellas County.

Second Grade Teachers

Ilene Reyor
 
Mrs. Reyor is a graduate of Long Island University, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Reading from Adelphi University. She is originally from New York and has previously taught in Pasco and Hillsborough counties in Florida as well as teaching in GA.
Mary Sills
 
Mrs. Sills is a graduate of Marietta College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Political Science and a Master of Arts in Urban Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. She is originally from Maryland and has previously taught in both public and private schools in Pinellas County.
Wendy Genzel
 
Mrs. Genzel is a graduate of Florida State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is originally from Illinois and has taught in the private school setting as well as serving in the role of Assistant Principal in a private school.
Rebecca Reasner
 
Ms. Reasner is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on English and Mathematics. She is originally from Michigan and taught in a private setting in Pinellas County.

Third Grade Teachers

Kristen Brown
 
Mrs. Brown is a SCATT (Suncoast Area Teacher Training Honors Program) graduate of The University of South Florida. She brings 6 years of teaching experience.
Lori Meadows
 
Mrs. Meadows is a graduate of Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on Language Arts, and a Master of Arts in Counseling/Guidance, specifically School and Agency Counseling. She is originally from Michigan has taught in a Pinellas County charter school, and internationally in Australia. She has also worked as a School Guidance Counselor in Brevard County, FL.
Heather MacLeod
 
Ms. MacLeod is a graduate of the University of Tampa, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is originally from Connecticut and taught in the Hillsborough public school system.
 
Heidi Grams
 
Mrs. Grams is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Middle Childhood, Early Adolescence Education. She is originally from Wisconsin and has taught in the public school setting in WI.

Specialist Teachers

Joyce DePergola, Reading Specialist/ESE
 
Mrs. DePergola is originally from Oklahoma and holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism Education from Oklahoma State University. She is nearing completion of a Master of Arts in Teaching/Exceptional Student Education with a minor in Reading from the University of South Florida.
Greg Wickstrom, Music Teacher

Mr. Wickstrom is a graduate of the University of South Florida and holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree. He has lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 25 years and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in classical bass performance. He has taught at Pinellas Preparatory Academy since 2002.

Rob Cox, Art Teacher

Mr. Cox is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Being from a military family, he has lived in various places throughout the world. He has previously taught in both a public and a charter school in Broward County, FL.

 

Rachel Kleser, Spanish and Gifted
 

Mrs. Kleser comes to us from Beavercreek, OR with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Letters, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University in Portland, OR. She previously taught in public schools and served as the Director of a charter school in Oregon. 

Doug Miller, Physical Education
 
Mr. Miller is from Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a major in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University. He previously taught at a public school in State College, PA.
Kim Quagliotti, Exceptional Student Education Teacher
 
A Florida native, Mrs. Quagliotti is a graduate of USF with certification in both K-12 Special Education and K-6 Elementary Education, Mrs. Quagliotti has taught in a variety of settings, from K-8th grade, in both a special education classroom as well as regular education. She has taught in both private and public schools. She has been with Pinellas Prep since 2002.
