Club FAQ's

Q. When do clubs start?

A. Most clubs start the week of September 12. One teacher must leave early, due to a prior commitment, but you will be notified ahead of time.

Q. I signed up my child, but how do you know their preferred club; I signed up for more than one.
A. You will be notified of acceptance in the clubs. If you are accepted in more than one per day, you will need to notify Mrs. Walker which club your child is attending.

Q. In general, how will we know if a club is cancelled?
A. Clubs will be cancelled at least 24 hrs. ahead of time, except in the event of an emergency. Teachers will most often try to find a substitute. If a club must be cancelled at the last minute, students will attend homework club.

OPEN HOUSE REMINDER

Don't forget this Wednesday, September 7, is Open House from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Join Mr. Fuller and I in the cafeteria for a presentation at either 6:00 or 7:00. Each teacher or team has prepared a presentation in the classroom to help you understand the teacher expectations. You will also be given the opportunity to view some of the exciting things your child has been working on over the past 2 weeks.

There have been exciting things happening all around the school.  Last week the Kindergarten pod was opened for the first time and the results were astounding! 1st grade has been sighted using "marshmallow feet" in the hallways, setting an example for hallway behavior. 2nd graders have been taking the lead at being the most quiet at dismissal, and 3rd grade has been working hard collecting plastic bottles and cans for their Terracycle project. Keep up the good work!

Are You Ready for IT?

Are you ready for IT? The school is almost ready for IT!  IT is almost here, and I hope you are as excited as the staff and I. The anticipation and excitement has been building all summer and IT is coming! What is IT?  IT is the start of a brand new era in the history of Pinellas Preparatory Academy, Inc.

We are ahead of schedule and we are a GO! We have passed our inspections and expect to have our Certificate of Occupancy within the next day or two.
